Hi, I've been trying to get shots of baby feet in big close up, but struggling. If you were trying to get shots where the feet almost fill frame preferably with shallow depth of field- what focal length and from what distance would be good?
(I'm getting a digital soon, which would make the whole trial and error thing a bit easier).
Thanks for any tips

If you have a 8mp+ why not take a wider angle shot with sharp focus... you can crop it down to exactly what you want......

you could probably print a crop of a 8mp shot to 11 x 13 without any loss of image quality

I'm assuming you're shooting film so we'd need to know what lens you're using.

What equipment do you have? That will influence your focusing distance and the DoF. I assume you're using film...
