Per the request of Jagadish_C in his low-light thread here
, I will post some photos I took in very challenging lighting conditions.
Just last week I took this photograph at a graveyard lit by nothing but small candles and the occasional torch. Almost impossible to take pictures there with a camera that's limited to ISO 2500. This was shot with a shutter speed of quarter of a second, handheld. Most of the blur is from the subjects moving though, the graves look decently sharp to me. The light you see on the pavement is all from the torch, and even the torch was quite dim.

One of my favorite low-light pictures is this one of a good friend of mine. It looks like he is drunk and passed out, but he was actually checking his messages on this phone.
Shot at an Irish pub that has a few incandescent lights, but they're all very dim. Second picture was taken at the same table.

f/2 | 1/15th | ISO 2500
Shot at the same pub, the same night, different table though. This table was closer to the bar, which has some more lights. This time the phone use is a little more obvious.
