This is one of the shots from a batch I took while having ago at this month's assignment; photographing hubby doing one of his watch modifications. I've been experimenting with B&W conversions and I thought it would be fun to bring back the silver colour of the magnifying glass and the watch. I think my pp skills are gradually improving as I slowly get the hang of the software.

Panasonic Lumix GX1 used with the Lumix 100-300 lens.

As ever, critique is welcome... :)

Many thanks,

Personally, I liked more the one you submitted for this month's assignment, although this one is great as well, nice job :)

I like the tones of the B&W but I think the silver mask works really well. Fine job in my book!

Nice picture. I agree with pierovera in that I prefer your entry for this months assignment, but they are both nice studies.
Ooh, watch modding, I can't afford my photography habit, let alone watches (and not the expensive ones either  ).

Thank you, robbon and Arthur for your kind comments. :) All of the swotting I've done over the last few weeks is starting to show some results in my camera skills and the pp is not as daunting as it first was either. I'm having fun taking pictures

Arthur, that's the beauty of watch modding; you can make them look like the expensive ones  You need huge amounts of patience and a real steady hand though... and also it seems, (from my personal experience), a good selection of swear words...
