He's been homeless for longer than I have been alive.

Anyway this is my first time at taking 'travel' portraits of people. Any C&C would be greatly welcomed.

I'm not an expert but I think the framing of the shot is perfect and you captured the most important part, the face and the eyes. I think there is a sparkle in his eyes although having a tough time. I'd like to see more. Where was it taken,

from this image, how can you tell that he's homeless?

I love the pic. There is a book that an ametuer photography did and it is great. he also got their stories why they were homeless. i believe it is lloyd moore. check out this link and it gives examples of what is in the book
