I used my 580ex II to blow out the background.

ISO 100

1/80th

PP: Lowered WB, desaturated some, brightened a little.

Id say its a great shot.... A little cold toned for my taste but if you were going for a bluish look then it looks great.

Yeah I was going cold for this shot. I usually don't like cold tones as much, but this shot looked great cold to me. One thing that I don't like tho is what the flash did to her hair. On her right side, at the ends of her hair, I lost the detail of the individual strands. I gotta try to control the light a little bit more. I'm not sure of how to avoid that tho.

limit the zoom on your flash and hide it well behind your subject.

The zoom was on 50mm. So something like 28mm or larger than 50?
