I'm new to photography. Not one lesson just a few books and lots of desire. It would be great if I could post a few of my attempts at it and get someone's feedback. I'm starting out with a Canon Rebel XTi, 18-55mm kit lens, 55-250mm, 60mm, 50mm, and a 17-85mm lens. I pretty sure I blew my budget!

Any constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated. First off, how do I post my images here?

Charles

Hi Charles and welcome. I too am only new here and am still learning my way around, but hopefully i can help you a bit.

Firstly you need somewhere to post your pictures to like flickr or photobucket. I am with flickr as are quite a few of the others. It's pretty straightforward to join and you get a free monthly upload amount (think it was 100mb?)

i'm still not sure how to post links, but if you go to the on assignment forum, at the top is a sticky note about how to post pictures by Thomas - its very good and you can even have a go there - that's where i posted my first picture when I finally worked out how!

Hope this helps :D

Posting links, super simple, there is a topic some where by thomas, but heres a quick rundown.

To post a link, paste the link in select it and press "URL" up at the top.

To post an image paste the location of image, (if its on flickr remove the ?v=0) and select press image.

And because I am lazy and don't feel like re-inventing the tutorial on how to post pics,
Heres Thomas's Tutorial.

And thats a heck of a set up you have there you have some good lenses.

Jake

Basically, once youve uploaded the photo copy the link then click on the IMG button above where you write the reply, then Paste, hit img again, and thats it. looks like this:
