Hi Alex168,

I like them a great deal. Somehow there's that "typical" Scandinavian lighting that so many painters have traveled far to capture.

I don't think the tone mapping helps the image in this case - I think you might only be winning some texture on the hoodie/sweater and the wood-grain. As you mention, you get a wee bit of haloing. Hard to say on such a small image - and perhaps it's my eyes and monitor that deceives me..or mayonnaise on my glasses..lol..but the center of the clouds look vaguely magenta/purplish to me?

Composition is nice on both, albeit the first one is perhaps too well known to come across as original as maybe intended.

Nice work !

Cheers :-)

Funny you mention that Lah, i have only see that 1st shot one time before :)

http://www.flickr.com/photos/alexanderb ... 1/sizes/o/

thats the link to the bigger version!

Well the sky sure does get really blue around her, but on the bigger version when tonemaped the water just looks amazing, its looks so fresh so clean like you just want to take a dip! I m going out for another session tomorrow ( i'm planning to bike of four a couple of hours this time) so i can check out some new locations, feels like i have shot that area a bit too much

(like you haven't seen that port before :))

I think the first one is fantastic Alex!

Have you tried adjusting the light-smoothing slider like I suggested to get rid of the halos?
