here are 2 pixs that I rejected, but I had a revisit with today, sorting a hard drive,....... all I have done is play with the sliders in ADOBE ACR to try and give the images more of an interest....... not my best work.........

sometimes a visit to the rejects will work, but not this time.......

Hey BigPix,

I can understand your decision when I imagine them in full color - but with this black & yellow "conversion" the images turned out quite pleasing I think.

They are more "graphic" than "photo-graphic", so to speak. Clean gradient effect and the simplicity works well together.

I often discover - more or less by accident - that some images that are downright bad in color, sometime turn out rather interesting in B&W.

(If I wasn't so in love with 'BLAM-OH!" colors, I would perhaps have an eye for these things....but I don't. )

Cheers :-)

If only my rejects were that good...... very nice!

Is that dust in the top right corner of the first one?

Wow BigPix :!: ... I agree. I find both pictures wonderful. The subject is interesting, the color and different shades are interesting ... I wouldn't see why you wouldn't like them as well.

I prefer the first one, theres a tranquil mood to it.
I suppose it was taken in Australia?
As the others said, thats not quite my definition of a reject i'd like to see your best photos then!

You're setting your standards pretty high mate. I think both those images are beautiful.
