my only regret is that except for the last one, i took these with my olympus point-and-shoot and not my canon

Hello SGT_pictureguy, and welcome to the friendly Camera Labs forum!
Very nice shots (esp- #1+3) with the contra-light and the dust/haze.
Try to up the contrast a little esp. on #3!

I wonder why you need the 40D :lol:

Wow ! I love the 3rd as well. and you've placed the sun right on the strong point. The haze adds almost a surreal mood to everything. I'm so impressed :o

I really like your second photo. The haze, dust, sunlight and shadows work really well here. It looks very natural and not too over processed.
