Here's a not so recent piece I don't recall posting here. It's a bit different from my usual stuff being not a cat or bird! While not a traditional landscape as such, this seemed the least worst category to put it.


"Distortion"

Olympus E-P1, Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 at f/5.6, 1/100s, ISO200
Single shot raw convert in ACR/CS5, further tweaking in Elements 7 as I was more used to the interface.

This is one of those pieces I like, but I couldn't say exactly why. At first glance you might think it is just an unremarkable shot of cloudy sky above treetops, but what is that other stuff? I took an imperfect reflection, and righted it, but that leaves other elements appearing in an unusual place.

Definatly unusual. I like to look at something different now and again. I like this shot as you said it isent easy to catagorise. Well done.

I keep looking at because I want to work out what exactly I am looking at. Its annoying me for that reason, its not good or bad, its just that my brain wants to work out what I am looking at.

At first glance, I can't tell if it's the sky, a reflection, right side up or up side down, or anything. It's an interesting approach, the trees draw my attention whilst the rest of the shot keeps my interest. Nice job, although I'm still a bit confused!
