Thanks James. I quite like it over the stitched photo that i took at the same location. Going to the same place tomorrow morning to try something different. :D

What flash did you use for this, can you explain the shot, use a tripod etc..

I am learning so info like this is always good to know...

The picture is very nice especially with the reflection of the mountain in the lake. Too bad we don't have snow here.

Thanks for the nice words.
To answer a question about the flash? i put my flash on full strenght. No tripod here. Forgot to bring it with me.
I dont think i have taken a picture like this for years now as i mainly spend my summer weekends out at vintage vehicle shows around Ireland for a Magazine.
Yes it would make a wonderful Christmas card.
Finding the right light is very hard and there is always that location that sticks in your mind but you never get round to taking a photograph of it.
Snow is here in an abundance and i have uploaded a picture to flickr of a panoramic view of Lough Melvin . I dont think its great but judge for yourselves as i dont like stitching photos together as they appear long and narrow. Judge for yourselves and thanks for the nice comments on my flickr page.
