Here's a shot of a willow and pond completely frozen, this was taken at Omakau in Central Otago, NZ. In the winter parts of this area are blanketed in thick fog for several weeks on end, no sunshine and endless frosts can give a spectacular hoar frost like this.

Audioman, the shot is very stark and at the same time it’s appealing and I think it’s very calming, you have captured nature at it’s best.

Cheers

Oh, man! I was in NZ (see my stuff from the trip here: http://ksnausphoto.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=40578) last summer and loved it for it's photo opportunities but now, seeing your shots I want to go now again!
This is just a great shot. Love its mood of frozen stillness, it's harsh but captivating beauty. Almost monotone, brings the feeling of silence and quiet resilience. If that's what you were aiming for, you have succeeded wonderfully.
