I've got a Noobie question here; I love going through caves and caverns and i want to start photographing these really cool places.

my current setup is a Canon Digital Rebel Xti w/kit lens, 17-85mm f4~5.6 IS USM and a 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM lens.

I'm wondering if my current setup will suffice in a relatively dark, confined area. I've been looking at these other lenses: Canon EF 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye and the Canon EF 28mm f/1.8 USM lens.

Would these (or any other lenses) work well in caves....or just stick with what i've got and work on my skills.

And what about Flash...(i don't use a flash now, i've just been adjusting settings to avoid a dark photo)..would you recommend one and which one?

If the cave is not lit at all, your torches will not suffice to catch good pics. Use a flash and bounce (against ceilings/walls).
If you visit tourist caves the illumination is normally very, very low so unless you have a lens larger than f2 (so the 28mm/f1.8 is a good bet) and a body that is good at ISO 800 and above your chances are slim...
Also find out whether it is permitted to use flash in the cave!

If you are not permitted to use a flash you will need a sturdy tripod. It will be very difficult to autofocus in bad lit manual focus on a object close to the camera and use a smaller aperture(f10-f13). Its best that you use a wide angle lens to get sharpness from the front to the back of the cave. Expect long shutterspeeds.
