Not as long as you would imagine. I guess 2 - 3 hours to take the photos. 5 for total processing. 1 hour upload. So 9 hours of effort. An enjoyable weekend I think:)
The process was:
-Add photos to LR
-Basic processing and corrections
-output to tiffs (16bit)
-batch process with photomatix (did it overnight)
-re-add to LR
-batch process colour with exposure 4
-fine tune the position of the Arc de Triomphe so it is not jumping everywhere (I could have spent more time on this, but I have to stop somewhere plus I had a system to take the photos at the same angle/level (vertical axis) to reduce having to adjust the final images too much, so it was more the horizontal axis I had to adjust)
-create the object using KRPANO (
http://krpano.com/) (I use this for all my panos, like the gigapixel photos, 360 tours etc)
