I really like the first one but they are all great!

This isn't really a complaint or criticism but I notice a slight halo effect around the man in the second picture. Do you know what is causing this? I've noticed this recently in some my shots where I've used the fill light adjustment in LR but it's not consistent between shots so I'm not really sure.

Thanks for the comments, guys.

It's probably my poor attempts at layering and masking, Graham, to try to add a bit of contrast to the scene. I can't see it clearly on my laptop though.

I'm using an old version of Photoshop (CS) so I'm having to convert from RAW in Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop Elements 7 to 16 bit tiff, then use Photoshop CS for pp, and then converting into 8 bit jpegs for the web. That conversion and resizing may have caused the problem...

I'm waiting on a bonus before I upgrade hardware, then there'll be no faffing about like this! CS4 or 5 and away I go...!

Thanks Phil :)

To be honest it's not that obvious. I'm probably quite sensitive to it at the moment because it's been of nuisance to me recently although it is a lot worse in my shots.

Love the first one! What are those magenta spots in the bottom half of the image though?

They're a couple of areas where i missed the mask when bringing out the sky a little

Love all the photos. However my favourite is definitely the first one. Congratulations.

Very nice pics! The halo effect is barely noticeable. You really have to stare at it to notice. I have noticed that this happens where two color opposite to each other meet. Like in your pic, the black and light blue.

Great pics non the less.

I'm still wondering, where did you get the idea to take photos of a Coke can is some dunes?
