Hello everyone,

Back from my trip to Jasper, Alberta, Canada, which is about an hour and a half north of Banff and is generally a very popular area for tourists... I was just there on a road-trip visiting some friends and generally getting in trouble. Anyways, here are my shots, enjoy! All were taken with my D90 + 18-200 VR, processed minimally.





This here is horseshoe lake. I had originally planned to meet here with some friends to go cliff jumping, but their car broke down (which I learned of later), so while waiting for them to arrive I ran off and took some shots on my own in the beautiful evening light.




Above are my friends picture in the Columbia Icefield, where we were taking a glacier travel course in order to expand our climbing capabilities. I absolutely love the contrast created by the white ice and the dark mountains and silhouettes.



The approach to the icefield... Very accessible and generally easy, its a very popular tourist attraction as its the highest point on the continent, and the water that melts from the Glacier can end up in the pacific ocean, arctic ocean, or the atlantic ocean.



Mt. Athabasca. A stunning mountain that we originally had planned to climb, but due to bad weather and general lake of interest we called in off unfortunately...

There they are! Wish I shot more pictures of my friends experiencing different things that had more emotion, but somewhere to improve upon for next time. C&C welcome, as always.

Hi Eric,

Really nice set of photos, looks like it was a really nice trip. Mt. Athabasca & Moose Lake is my favourite, wish the chain was not there but then you have to work with what you got.
