Hey guys, I'm not sure if landscape photography would be a better topic for my question, but here goes:

I'm planning to attend a summer solstice celebration at stonehenge this year, which is going to happen at the dusk 20th/dawn 21st of june. Now with these very low light conditions (sunset/sunrise), area cramped with people I can imagine a very fast wide angle lens would be the best option, since I think flash photography will be prohibited. But all I can work with is my Nikon D90 with either 18-105mm f3,5-5,6 zoom, or 50mm f1,8, which gives me equivalent of 75mm, a rather long focal lenght for this sort of event.

So what would you pick and why? Just for the record, I will be probably taking both lenses with me, but I prefer to have just one all the time if possible. Any other advices are of course very welcome!! Thanks in advance.

I'd probably go for the 18-105, but have the 50mm in your pocket!! That f1.8 appature is gonna come in super handy in low light.

A bit too late, but thanks for the reply anyway!!
I decided to use 50 for most of my shots and I've taken some with my zoom but most of them turned out quite bad. But practice makes perfect, I learned a few things there.
The celebration was quite an experience though, even if it was cloudy and we didnt get to see the sun rising. Maybe next year :)
