during march break i took a school trip to peru and these are some of my best photos. i had a little camera mishap so half of these are taken with a nikon d60 and the other half with an olympus 1030 sw.
please let me know what you think

nice pictures, especially nr.8

I'm going to Peru in july, so any tips you can give to a novice dslr user are always welcome...

PS: what ISO settings did you use for photo nr.6?

I like the people shots a lot, apart from maybe number 7, the girl looks a little intimidated by you, maybe should have used a longer focal length.

All in all, nice shots!

iso for #8 was 400,

one tip i have is CHECK THE VOLTAGE
this was my big mistake,
i took with me a D60 that i borrowed from my school and before i left i forgot to check the voltage on the power cord. The d60 charger only takes 160V, which is fine here in Canada, but in peru they have 220V i think. this little mishap cost me probably the best photo oppurtunity of life (8 blue and gold macaws in flight over the amazon river)

other than that, i would bring a fast yet long lens if you are going into the rainforest
