Nice set, Victor!

Which island did you go to? Each island seems to have it's own egret living on it/drinking from the pool! You're taking me back now as it's been 8 years since I visited, and making me jealous!

Ho hum - 7 days until I visit Mauritius, that'll make up for it!

I went to an island called Vilamendoo in the south Ari Atoll.
I can't wait to get back to the Maldives! :).

Great technique and very good compositions.

I like the one on the beach with the girl walking, the vignetting plays very well for this picture.

The Maldives are on my to-go destination, but is it true that they expect them to go underwater in the next decades? Somewhere I read an article about the Maldives being in danger because of global warming and the increase on the sea level...

Thank you Murdock! :)
Yes it is true that the Maldives are in danger of the rising sea level.
From what i have read, it should be gone in 20-50 years.....

Jesus, that sucks! The saddest thing is that they can't do anything about it, their fate is entirely on the hands of the big polluters... Sad.

Nice shots Victor, its amazing looking at them it is almost exactly like the island we went on, they are all very similar. Its a wonderful place to visit!

We went to Komandoo 2 years ago.

The bar man was telling us what it was like when that huge tsunami hit the island. He said the there was no wave or crash of water the sea just filled like a bath tub over the island gently getting higher and higher, him and the guests were stood up on the bar just watching the sea fill around them.

After that the island had to be pretty much re-built.

I'm not a pro, so don't ask me why I love it.. But I really like shots #2 and #3.

Beautiful, indeed.
