My my, I miss the beach so much, it's been so cold... And I'm going to Scandinavia in a few weeks :( Anyway, thanks for the sunrays.

That Burj Khalifa is huge, how far were you from the foot of the tower ?

I only had the kit lens on me at the time (18-105mm) so the first was just a quick snapshot backing up as little as I could to fit it in. I was still a good 350m from the base...

Last Photo are my Fav & Nice one!.

Phil, I would like to ask a question. Can anyone enter to the Burj Khalifa for free? .That would be a sweet spot for Dubai Urban Panorama shot taken from the highest point of Burj Khalifa 8)

@ Adi Zulhusni MarkII - you cannot go in for free at the moment. The hotels, commercial and residential properties are not yet ready for occupation, so the only way up is to go to the viewing platform on the 124th floor.

It's plenty high enough, but you'd have to be very lucky with the weather to get god panoramas as it is so high and there is generally a sand haze in the sky in the UAE. This can be clearer during winter and spring.

I'm not going up until they've sorted the lifts out though! I'll be waiting until the end of 2010 as then the atmosphere is clearer and you have a higher chance of fog in the early mornings - that would be a good time with the skyscrapers appearing above the fog...

@ Vimal

Thanks for the comments but really they were just snapshots as I had visitors that wanted a quick photo. I've done some exploring of the area and found some good vantage points though, and as soon as I get a clear weekend (we've had sandstorms this weekend so far!) I'll be down there to get some better shots...
