Why does that cause surprise?

Great shots by the way!

Thanks Mark! I was wondering if you thought that the last one was indeed the best... I just want to make sure I have the right choice to put into a mail in photo contest for my local news paper...

Impressive stuff. I particularly like the one with the leaf - simple but very effective. Some of the photos have blown highlights, but all in all they are very good.

EDIT: I had at your flickr. There are some great photos there. I was particularly impressed with your macro photos.

Of the lot, I'd say the last one is probably the best. :)

Thanks... I too think I am strongest at macro shots...

I sure did! I used my grandpa's tripod! He gave it to me as a present and it is pretty high tech... :D

MBrutus - the thing that strikes me is the clarity! They're all so crystal clear and the black of the sky in the last one is perfect!

How do the street lights have very long spikes coming off them?

Lovely photographs.
