these were all taken in and around Marrakech, taken with my D80, AF-S 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 G (this was the only lens i had at the time besides my 50mm, but that didnt see mch use in general. that was mainly due to the fact that i was walking around without my bag, so just me, camera and a general zoom lens.
all photos resized and compressed using Capture NX2, extra postproccessing is detailed on photo.
Hope you enjoy these photos, comment, critique and questions welcome

This is one of the water sellers that are always around the main square. They are a major distinguishing feature (and in a way a tourist attraction) of the square.

couldnt get close enough to get a full shot as wouldnt be natural, as they would pose or hide, depending on wether you gave them mony or not

All below were taken of the Jemaa El Fna night market, one of the regular features of the City, every night the place transforms from an open square to a jam packed area of eating and entertainment. A distinguishing feature of the holiday was one of the stall holders or advertisers coming over to us and saying "welcome to my restaurant, you like Marks & Spencers, we (are) like Primark, Cheap as Chips!"- he goes to say "its very nice, air conditioned innit" his english was very good, but what was best was this speech and the accent and the repetitons of these phrases. A classiic and truly memorable part of the trip.

All of these were taken from one of the various cafes that overlook the place, they are glorified tourist-traps really. where we were the balcony was absoulutley packed with tourist with cameras. on the balconies you had to wait to sit down for ages, they were that busy and most of the customers were tourists.
