Like most DSLR does have its own shutter actuation limit i.e Nikon D700 up to 150K, D3 are up to 300K . Okay here is the question, what is the shutter actuation limit for the Leica M9 because I can't find any info about it

It's pre WWII, you know.

It was my first camera, when I was 15 years old.
I can't find rolfilm nowadays.

Assuming the shutter works much the same as a SLR, the life could be expected to be in a similar ball park too. And I'm sure Leica will fit a new one for you when it wears out, so you don't end up with an expensive brick.

To me the camera style doesn't really promote massive volume shooting, so I'd imagine its practical usage life would be quite long.

At least one guy over at the Leica User Forum thinks the answer is about 150,000.

IMHO owning a Leica wouldn't be quite like owning your typical Japanese DSLR/EVIL camera. The M9 is hand-built and tested and Leica are quite happy to service "historical" models. From Leica's website:

If and when I buy my first Leica (M10 perhaps) I would also hope I'd have bought not only my last Leica but my last interchangeable lens camera!

P.S. Mind you, with the price of Leica glass and the need to start a collection of same I probably wouldn't be in any rush to buy another body even if my bank manager let me.
