Following the announcement of the Micro Four Thirds cameras by Olympus and Panasonic, Samsung has announced a competing system of small mirrorless bodies with Electronic View Finders and exchangeable lenses based around their own 14 Mp APS-C sensor.

So compared to micro four thirds, the only advantage I can see is they will have a bigger sensor, like comparing an existing four thirds camera to an APS-C one (2x crop factor vs 1.5x respectively).

Arguably the micro four thirds system has a bit more industry support and momentum behind it from the related four thirds format.

Question is, will the bigger sensor result in a bigger body and higher overall cost compared to micro four thirds?
