i just bought the Hoya Inrfared R72 filter for my k10d and so far everything i take sucks its damn near black
i saw a bunch of photos with this exact same setup i have
and they turned out amazing
thats why i bought this filter

so what am i doing wrong?

How long are your exposures? They'll have to be rather long.

Also, I think this is in the wrong section of the forum.
