Im just wondering which is the best or what you would recommend out of these camerea:
1. Leica D-lux 3
2. Ricoh GR digital
3. Canon powershot G7
4. Anyother's you'd suggest
I want smaller camera that i could carry around day to day instead of a DSLR which are just to big to carry with you around town on a daily basis.
I am looking for are:
1. High image quality
2. Easy manual options
3. **Complete creative control**
Cost isnt that big of an issue... or else i wouldent even consider the GR.

Thanks alot
-TBower

Hi, I haven't reviewed the Ricoh or Leica models, so can't comment. But to see which cameras we'd recommend from the ones we've fully tested, then check out our Buyers Guide section here:

Thanks for the reply but like you said you havent tested two of the cameras. I'm still right back were i started but thatnk you, the group test was helpful on viewing other options.
Im finding it difficult to find reviews that compared the Ricoh and the Leica with other models. This may be because the Ricoh is really in a calls and style all by itself.
have you hurd anything about the ricoh good/bad....
and what other review sites would you suggest me looking at?

hi tbower, I had the Leica D-Lux 3 here for a while, in black, before getting the G7. The G7 is superior in almost every way. The only thing cool about the Leica (US$599) which is 99.99% the same as the much cheaper Panasonic LX2 ($399) is the wide angle lens and 2.8" screen. Although I found the screen to be somewhat sub-par in practice.

The G7 is in a class all its own. You'll love it. :) S

Ah yes, I forgot the Leica was a rebadged Pannie LX2.

You can find our LX2 review here:
