Hi folks,
I'm still feeling slightly guilty about not having flagged up Samsung's NX11 announcement a few days ago. Partly that's because, quite bizarrely, the company announcement is
here in the Support pages and I've only just found it. If there was a press release in the expected place I couldn't find it.
Anyway, the "big deal" is compatibility with "the new i-Function lens, introduced for the NX100", though it appears such compatibility will also be introduced via a firmware update for the NX10.
According to
this BJP article Samsung intends to keep the details of this lens interface pretty close to it's chest (c.f. Sony's attitude re: the NEX mount as described in the same article). That's their right, of course, and I'll let you, gentle reader, decide if that's an attitude to be concerned about.
Bob.
