I am not so sure KR is biased against Leica; he is the one who "turned me on" to the Leica M9 in the first place! He still lists the M9 as the best camera in a category or two, such as landscape, and he continually mentions, to this day, in his reviews of various makes of lenses, that Leica makes the best lenses. Please note that I am not defending KR; he is big enough to defend himself, just saying that there is useful Leica information to be found at his site.
Anyway, this thread about the M9. Well, if I won the Texas lottery, I would likely buy an M9 immediately upon receiving my first payment. (I rarely buy Lotto tickets; just occasionally for fun.) When I retire, if the M9 is still the current digital Leica full-frame rangefinder, when I "roll" some tax-deferred savings into my regular bank account, I might well allot a portion of that for an M9. If the M10 is really announced on 10 May 2012, well, then it might be an M10 instead of an M9 that occupies my Leica lust. It will be interesting to see if the M10 uses a Kodak sensor! Or, to parallel my Nikon F6, perhaps a film Leica will be a more likely object of my attention. (I really did like the MP I handled at a Leica dealer in Houston, Texas.)
I do wish Leica M-mount lenses were not so dear! They are not just costly, but some of them are quite rare.
