I started mucking around with the new toy (K7) yesterday at a wedding. I really didn't get many shots worth looking at, but its not the camera's fault! I think that the main limiting factor will be me.

I've noticed that the white balance settings work really well if you set them to the right setting... The auto WB doesn't do too bad a job.

I am very happy with the Sigma 17-70mm lens. I am able to work quite closely to subjects, I think sigma say 20cm but I was focusing on objects closer to 2cm. The auto focus isn't all that quiet, and it would be nice to not have to switch to manual focus to make small changes manually. But I must say the lens performs pretty well throughout the range.

I have attached a couple of macro photos of some of the flowers (keep in mind these are JPEGS and are not set on top quality cause I only had a small SD card on me at the time).

A new picture I took with the K7 with a borrowed Pentax DA10-17 fish-eye lens. I have not altered the picture in any way (though Picasa may have). Though I would love to get rid of the tripod shadow, if I had some sort of photoshop program :?

I think that 20cm is the distance from sensor, not the lens.

Regarding high ISO, how is K7's high ISO compared to Sony's entry-level models A2xx/A3xx and A700?
