I looked through a magazine some time ago, which listed all the EISA awards. It was fun to see how other brands won prices, buy Sony came out best in the basic category. For example:

- Ultra Compact Camera: Olympus µ 1030SW
- Compact camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5
- Super Zoom Camera: Fujifilm FinePix S100FS
- Consumer Camera: Canon EOS 1000D
- Camera: Sony α350
- Advanced Camera: Olympus E-3
- Professional Camera: Nikon D3 (how could it not win?)

- Consumer Lens: Tamron 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3
- Professional Lens: Nikon 14-24mm and 24-70mm f/2.8
- Lens: Sony 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 G SSM

Sony's doing a very good job according to the European Imaging and Sound Association!
