Well, it is not a Carl Zeiss, but has the same line of the new 70-300mm.

Here the manual PDF from 70-300 and 70-400mm. :D

Has the same 70-200mm hood.

WOW  I've thought that it'll be an 80-400 CZ... Now, if we're based on the quality of the 70-300 G, this should be as good or better than his predeccesor. And what's most important (to me at least) should the 70-300 G drop it's price????

Cheers.

The 70-400 is about double the weight of the 70-300! I guess that's reasonable given it's got 100mm more on the long end and brighter throughout. Can I have one now? :D I'll worry about the "how much?" later :p

   Why did I work on Friday AND Saturday?

I missed this great moment.
Guess you guys noticed, but in picture B (the pdf), Sony uses an image of the A900 instead of the A700 or other current Alpha DSLRs. Seems like it's almost there...
You can even use Sony teleconverters with this beast, how nice is that? Too bad AF doesn't work.

Glad to hear you missed me Alex! I missed y'all too, and this news as well. On friday I didn't have to go to school very long, but had to work in the afternoon and evening. I worked all saturday, so only had time to visit CL today, which means I missed the magical moment.
However, I did earn some extra money :D . Look at it from the bright side, right?
