PostPosted: Wed Aug 27, 2008 5:11 pm
Hi all
Just a quick hello new to the site and dslr world ! bought myself a sony a300 which i think fits my needs nicely but i'm having a bumpy start, i'm now on my second soon to be third body!! first one felt like it was about to fall apart very creaky, so got it exchanged .
Now i'm currently experiencing a stuck pixel on the lcd, this doesnt affect the pictures but is constantly drawing my attention. Spoke to retailer and they are happy to exchange it too so i might aswell get another. Like i said i like the camera but would have thought for the money quality control may have been better. Hopefully will be shooting happily tomorrow.
:D

Welcome to cameralabs Sitinduk! I am so sorry to hear you've got defective products from Sony. This does happen sometimes. I must say when I bought my SonyA200, the pop-up flash button did not work but since I am not using the flash very often, this is not an issue for me, I can always raise it manually. All the other functions seem to be working alright after 3 months passed.

Hello sitinduck, and welcome to the friendly Camera Labs forum!
Sorry to hear of your woes. But that is exactly why you should buy at a place where they can cope with such problems!
Good luck with your next body

Sorry to hear you're so unlucky with your A300's. My A700 is in perfect shape. I agree though that a broken pixel is disturbing. I have two on my PC monitor and they both draw attention. I've gotten used to them though...

Do that, and perhaps show us some :) .

I like the shot of the dog and the rose, the rose looks stunningly good! Good job!
