I found Gordon's review of the Sony 75-300 VERY informative (as always).

I was wondering if anyone has had experience with the Sigma 70-300 APO lens on the Sony A100 body (or Minolta predecessor) and can give an opinion or comparison of the pros and cons of the Sigma and Sony lenses?

Thanks

Kevin

Hi Kevin, welcome to the Cameralabs forums!

I haven't tested the Sigma 70-300 APO lens myself, but I can tell you the Sony 75-300mm is a budget model, so anything of even a slightly higher-end is likely to out-perform it. And I think the Sigma APOs have a good reputation.

Has anyone used the Sigma 70-300 APO (on any mount) and can comment?

Gordon

PS - you might want to also post your question in the Sigma forum!
