Perhaps you should head for the two big brands where there are plenty of loves.

If you are referring to flash wireless trigger. I shoot with off-camera flash often, and there are three ways:
1) Use Sony's own flash (including built-in flash) to trigger remote Sony flashes. The TTL is done by pre-flashes. TTL: yes
2) Use Sony Off-Camera Cable (FA-CC1AM). Easy setup for short distance off-camera flash. TTL: yes
3) Use a radio trigger (e.g. Elinchrom Skyport or Pocket Wizard). Works well if you don't need TTL, suitable for studio lighting. TTL: no.

Thank you for your reply, but you say the big two, which I assume is nikon and canon. I started to go with nikon, but a very good friend of mine had a heck of a deal for a begining dslr user. Which was sony a very nice package, I'm happy with sony but just don't understand why more things are not there for sony. Thanks for letting me vent just alittle. Lol

Nikon and Canon are the big two. Sony is not that bad (in terms of third party accessories) compared to other brands. If I were the manufacturer, I would of course target where the market is.

Personally, I use Elinchrom Skyport trigger most often. Since there's no TTL, I usually carry a light meter in my camera bag.

Since late September 2012, Sony introduced Multi Interface Shoe (MI Shoe), which incorportes the standard ISO 518 hotshoe. I hope some third party manufacturers will make TTL triggers for Sony.
