Hi everyone!

I'm really interested in this little beauty, but just have one question about the shutter. I have read Gordon's excellent review and noted his comments about the sound of the shutter. The sound doesn't bother me in the slightest but what would bother me is any vibration or shake caused as a result of it.

I need perfect stillness of the camera for some of my shots as I often use exposure times of 10 seconds and more (with tripod and remote cable release, of course!). Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of the shutter causing any vibrations that could affect anything on a long exposure whilst the camera is bolted down and using a cable release? A pretty specific question I know, but any information would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you :)

Tom Wilkinson.

I haven't tried long exposure with A7R. As for NEX-7, I haven't noticed the vibration noise caused by the shutter in long exposure shots.

For long exposure, carbon fibre tripod can reduce the vibration.
