Do you think they'd trump the A700's resolution so soon on a lower-end model? But then I guess Canon does it all the time!

I donĀ“t...

I think that this camera is for marketing, maybe this no have the performance than A700, but this is like to the Canon 450D and 40D, why more MPx in a lower model??
These cameras is for that people to ask for a LV...

Seems like Sony seriously wants the market from Canon 400D/450D and Nikon D40x, and I think they will get it :o

Nice images, thanks for posting!
It's still the A700 for me though.

Looks like Sony will have a camera to compete with almost anything(below pro-level) that the other manufacturers have to offer.

At PMA last year they showed a mock-up of their pro-level camera that supposedly will have FF sensor, so this will soon be a full system matching at least Nikon.

i cant decide between the 450d and the a300 both look good and my budget is small. What do u guys Think ? i do like the is of the sony but the faster shooting and the bigger screen and the huge variety of lenses and accessories for the canon are very attractive as well.

I#d wait until you can lay your hands on both cameras plus look through the viewfinder. that would decide it for me...

mh... i know ur right but i don't have that option, im in germany and a friend is going to bring it from america. this way i would just pay 612 euro for the 450d instead of 850 euro.... which with my small budget is great !
