I assume an official thread and post will be made in due course, but Sony just threw out a bucket of compacts.
I'm only going to look at 3 models here: the successor to the HX9V is imaginatively titled HX10V, resisting the temptation to throw in another "X" in the name. HXXV? Ok, that doesn't have a catchy feeling to it. Anyway, it is also joined by two new relatives the HX20V and HX30V.
All three seem to share the same 18MP sensor. The HX10V sticks to the old 16x zoom lens while the two higher models get a new 20x zoom, and the top model gets Wi-Fi.
The 20x zoom is fractionally faster at both extremes than the 16x. Overall none of these incremental updates, individually or combined, are enough to make me think about binning the HX9V. I'll wait for the HX11V or whatever it'll be called...
