It's my understanding that Konica Minolta lenses are fully compatible.

However, if the "Konica Minolta Zoom Super Wide Angle 11-18mm f/4.5-5.6(D) DT Autofocus Lens" (phew!) is actually a re-badged "Tamron SP AF11-18mm F/4.5-5.6 Di II LD Aspherical [IF]" (reviewed here and here) then that Konica Minolta lens is beginning to look overpriced. And then there's the "Sigma AF 10-20mm f/4-5.6 HSM EX DC" to think about (reviewed here).

Bob.

KM is supposed to have a better quality control and as discussed here in another thread the KM version might have a different coating than the Tamron equivalent. Nevertheless I still think Sony/KM lenses are overprices compared to Canon/Nikon.

KM's DSLR division was bought by Sony so all of the gear is compatible with each other, so if you want to buy an old Minolta SLR and fit a new Sony lens on it that :)

KM and Sony DT 11-18mm is the same lens and them are Tamron copy with some difference.

The Sony (like KM) have well image quality and is very sharp.
