I just bought a Maxxum 7000 camera with a couple of lenses, flash and some film Also has an owners manual on a cd. I am keeping the Tokina 35-200 for a while but was wondering about the 1.7 50 mm lens. It is in good shape and I have taken some nice pictures with it with my a33 camera. I have a sony1.4 50mm lens already and this one seemed redundant. I was thinking about trying to sell the camera, flash and lens to recover some of my expense. I have read the reviews and it seems to be a fairly good lens and is selling well on some sites. Keep or sell? Any opinions? If sell, fair price to ask for the kit with the lens. I was thinking about $45.00. Is that too much to ask?

Some Minolta era lenses are still popular, and I think the f/1.7 is one of them. The Sony DT f/1.8 has possibly damped interest in it a bit, but it is still an interesting lens for people wanting to go full frame on the cheap. Certainly there isn't a particular need for it if you have the f/1.4. What the market price is these days I don't know.
