I just came across a Sony Lens the 500 F8 super reflex.

Quite interesting, if they can fix a few of those issues mentioned, it might be a great little lens

It is a mirror lens and there isn't anything to fix. If you make one in that configuration, that's what it does. If you want more or different, you need to make something different, which would then be something else.

It's the only autofocusing reflex lens in the world as far as I know. It has a fixed aperture, so exposure can only be set using the shutter speed and ISO. Also, I've read and heard that will set your AF point selection to the center one - you can't use it with all your AF points.
