is there anyone here tried to use those? any advise

i want to use some flash and strobes from different brand i wish that could answer since my friends here use different brand from me :)

I got one each (Seagull brand) to go between Sony-Canon and back again, but I never got the flashes from either system to work with the other.

but are they cool for the studio strobes/

you didn't even try even once? cause my friend here are canon/nikon users...

are they just fine to use them with other flashes?

I did try them, they did nothing for me :(

Specifically I tried the Sigma ringflash Canon mount on Sony A350.
Going the other way, I tried the F42 on Canon... 50D I think. The simple adapters didn't do anything. I don't know if more complicated ones might do something. Neither camera detected the presence of a flsah, and as such wouldn't fire it...

i bought a hot shoe adapter for the A200 to be used with a Vivitar flash unit. it was available on ebay.

the A200 uses a smaller hot shoe than the Vivitar, so the adapter has to match up with both the camera's hot shoe and the footing for the flash. i found that it was best to use the flash cord that joins the adapter to the flash unit.

and remember to change flash setting to Preflash TTL in the camera's menu.

there should be a similar setting in the menu for other DSLR's too.
