Hi folks,

With the NEX-3 and NEX-5 out of the door (see Sony NEX-5 and NEX-3 - Official Thread) speculation is that Sony will release a top of the range model, the NEX-7, in September.

EOSHD reports that, in addition to what's known from the NEX-5, it will feature:
  • A larger body (like a a mirrorless A550) with full manual control
  • 1080p@60
  • 1080p@24
  • 720p@120fps and 60p
  • Revised sensor design
  • In body stabilisation
Only rumour, of course, although they seem pretty sure of themselves. What fun. 8)

I hope it is released at the Photokina..because people like me, who are looking for a compact body with DSLR quality but not the weight, can make a choice between like a NEX-7 and NEX-5. It would be better if there were some photos of the (soon to be :P) NEX-flagship...

Would certainly be interesting for some slow-motion videography... :D

As always, we'll have to wait and see!
