Checking the sony site for a price and release date on a a450 in australia I saw that the a230 was in the older models. Thought it was weird but then this:

Ruben, I think you are confused...these two are not the same cameras at all!

Sad to see the buttons, switches, etc go :(. The more buttons, the better!

Sony has been trying to get rid if their A230/330/380 models because they have realized it just isn't a good design. This, together with a 300-series model, should replace the current low-end models. Just a little weird this rumour just pops up from nowhere, it seems to anyway.
