Hi!

I´ve been lately reading some great topics on this forum and nown I decided to go all the way and register as a user. :)

I´m quite new to photography and I´m at the moment getting my kicks from simply just using my new DSLR that I bought a couple of weeks ago (Sony a300 + 18-70mm kit lens).

Happy new year 2010 to all of you in advance!

Hello danemania, and welcome to the friendly Camera Labs forum!
To enjoy your stay here please have a look at the house-rules!
----
Have fun with your new gear, try it in auto first to get a good feeling for what automatic settings can (and cannot) do for you. When you get acquainted you can go try all the other settings :D

Just auctioned myself a Minolta 50mm 1.7 on ebay. :D I am also waiting for a Minolta 80-200mm 4.5-5.6 to arrive. Not quite sure how good lens the latter is, haven´t found any reviews, but I got it cheap on ebay, so why not give it a chance?
