Can't wait for Gordon's review of A5xx. I would like to see ISO comparison between A500 vs A550 too.

How many people already bought the camera?

Well its not out yet in the UK (at least that is what I know) but it will be really interesting to see its ISO capabilities

Unfortunately I can't speak for Gordon's test-schedule. But currently seems a busy time with so many new cameras coming out...

I had a good look at the A500 today, and although I’m impressed by the new sensor’s IQ at high ISO and the bonus of live view, after holding it in my hand and playing with the controls etc, I decided to go with the A700 as my upgrade.
It’s just a much more substantial/solid body, and it cost me only $140 more.

I do hope to review the A550, but it could be some time yet. If possible I'll post some High ISO noise results for it first, but again we could be looking at well-into November.

I got to Hold one yesterday. And while I can't comment on the IQ properly (looking forward to the review). I have to agree with westcoast, the A700 just feels so much better. So the a700 will be my upgrade(or its replacement).

Well for me it was anyway. :D

I do love the features on the a5xx but at the end of the day it comes down to the fact I will be holding the camera all the time. And thats were the a700 beats the a5xx for me.

I am still looking forward to the review though. Its iso performance looks very promising.

When you do post A550's High ISO noise results, can you add A500 to it too? I would like to see if 12 MP A500 performs better than 14 MP A550 at High ISO.

We are well-into November. Should we expect a sample within next few days?
