hi peps i'm fairly new to dslr ,i have a budget of around 500 sterling to spend ,,my question is simply would the 50 or 100mm macro lense would be the better lense or does anyone know a better route to take ,,the lenses i am currently looking at are ,, sal-m5028,, sal-m3028. sal-m10028 all in the region of the said budget ,the 100mm lense is only about another 50 pound more then the 50mm ,,any advise would be great thanks

You already have a 50mm and I find the 100mm easier to work with (can stand back further to achieve the same 1:1 magnifications).

So.... I would get the 100mm ;)

i havent got a dedicated macro lense yet ,,my 50 mm is a portrait lense,, i love the macro effect , to me it gives so much detail on a smaller scale but some how makes it so much a bigger impact, what are you using and how much are you enjoying the results from it :)
