Hi,

Very new to this forum although I've been following the posts for a while. I've just recently upgraded from a Sony a200 to the a700 and have 2 questions.

1) Does anyone using the a700 find that it overexposes a bit?
2) Is the Tamron 17~50mm Di lens a good match for the a700?

I've realised that a few folks go for the CZ 16~80 but I can't stretch to that kind of money just yet, having spent loads on the 700, new flash and batt unit! I have a Vivitar Series 1 100 ~ 400mm lens and this gives me some beautiful photos, as long as the Tamron can achieve the same quality, I will be happy

(Just not sure what justifies a "good" lens that is suitable for the beast of a camera I have just bought)!

Just seen some stuff on this lens in the Tamron section!! Opps, should have looked there. Gone and bought it now

for tamron, becareful for poor quality control, make sure buy from seller that has good return / warranty policy.
