Hi,

I'm thinking about buying my own A700. I mostly would take pictures from a city trip. So that's the reason why I would buy the A700 with a tamron 18-200mm. Ok, the lens is not that good, but it's the only one that is in my budget with that kind a zoom range.

My question is if the tamron will autofocus on the A700? Will it have the same functions as a sony lens (eye-focus start)?
Later I might be buying better lenses ;) (and I will :D )

Shouldn't have any problems with the lens, it will act (electronically) exactly like any sony lens mounted on the camera

Get the Tamron for Sony fit, and it will work fine. Yes, AF will work.
