Woookay.

I'm reasonably sure I've got a unique username. But it seems somebody already used "brouken" as a username in Megaupload.com.

Well, that's that.

I'd like to hear Bjorn's comments on the pics though.

I'll post more pics next week taken with these lens.

So far, I don't see anything wrong with the pics that I've taken so far. But then, what do I know right? I'm just a Sony fanboy and a DSLR newbie. Worst possible combination right Sublimity?

Thanks Lomer for informing me. I'll have a look later on my laptop, I can't judge on my phone's screen at the moment.

Can't judge the photo at this size (not the tinypic-link either). I'll send a PM with my email address.

From where? My Flickr account is still a free one, so I can't upload full resolution files on there. I'll see what I can arrange though! I have an idea...

Thanks for helping out Bjorn!

Picked up my buddy from the train station today. We've gotten a few photos from Nong Khai Thassadej Market in Thailand (about an hours drive from Vientiane through the Lao-Thai Friendship Border).

I was planning on bringing him around Vientiane, but the weather turned against us at the last moment (Deluge of rain!).

I'll upload some pics from todays photo-shoot (all taken with the CZ16-80) and let you guys choose which ones you'd like to see in full-res. (Although I'm curious as to what Bjorn's idea might be. :o )

Salamat Kabayang Lomer!

We weren't able to take photos of the Patouxay Monument and the That Luang Stupa (both famous symbols of Laos) this weekend because of bad weather.

As you can see from the last few pics, the weather was pretty overcast (I like taking pics in bright sunshine).

Anyway, Bjorn told me my lens are fine. With that peace of mind, I'm off to take more pics! :)

I told you I couldn't see any problems from the two shots you sent me. Have you done the test I suggested?

You sure Bjorn? Extremely soft corners in the first picture with the dragon in the middle of the frame. Even when it's not stopped down, I would assume the quality would at least give some even sharpness around the frame.

I'm not a 100% sure, I'm no pixel peeper, and for me, there's nothing in the pictures that makes me think there's something wrong with the lens... Brouken might have to set up some tests to get conclusive results.

What tests did you recommend Bjorn?

Testing whether the lens back-/frontfocusses with a ruler. And it might be good to test sharpness on a brick wall, for the corners.
