The D3X isn't a future camera, its available now, and it does have the same 24 megapixel sensor as the a900.

... allthough Nikon fiddled with the sensor and made it much better at high ISOs - something Sony just hasn't managed yet (or maybe they have in their new cameras, but time will tell). ;)

And I'm sorry, that last picture is just not good from a technical point of view (your niece, dress and everything is lovely). Loads of artifacts (look at the hair), massive CAs on her shoulder and horrible use of on-camera flash.

Must agree, very beautiful girl but either the photo lost a lot of quality while doing post processing or you shot at iso 3200? or something? Oh yes and the D3X has been out for almost a year now...
